04. Aesthetic Goals

Jessica herself has a heart of gold and is a walking expression of artistry meets edginess. The goal for the site’s aesthetic was a sophisticated design with a moody feel.

Start with Color

Before beginning work on the site design, it was key to nail down the perfect color palette to match Jessica’s personality and what she wanted to visitors to her site to feel when they landed there.

  • 01. First

The color black is associated with power, sophistication, magic, strength, and authority. While hitting the nail square on the head with sophistication and intelligence, we’re also evoking intrigue and curiosity.

  • 02. Second

Grey represents neutrality and balance in color psychology. Loba Studio is a place of safety for diverse backgrounds and upbringings, therefore, the usage of grey was an obvious necessity.

  • 03. Third

We really wanted to hit a home run with the feeling of balance, calm and safety. Plus, a palette with a majority greyscale? Did somebody say moody?

  • 04. Fourth

We’re still on that grey train; however, this lighter version feels just that way. The softness of this near-white grey hones in on the contrast necessary for such dark colors in the rest of the palette, but also represents a blank canvas for the artistry that exists within the brand.

  • 05. Fifth

Green is the most prominent color that exists in nature and is therefore associated with feelings of harmony, growth, and peace. Green is also the color associated with the Heart Chakra, the energy center near our actual hearts that allows us to give and receive love. Let’s talk about that beautiful heart of Jessica’s again, shall we?
